Since early childhood, we move, we play, we enjoy doing all sort of sports… Thinking of this, it was obvious to mix childhood and traditional Polynesian sports in my art. For this exhibition, I let myself go into regression to reach the pleasure of creating like a child… I had to have the courage to purposely leave mistakes and get the essence of things… As Picasso said: “It took me a lifetime to learn to draw like a child.”
